Richard “Rick” Warren Marlow of Waukesha died on December 24, 2017 at the age of 73. He was born in Waukesha on September 25th 1944, the son of Jane (Eggebrecht) and Warren Marlow. He graduated from Waukesha South and Carroll College, and spent most of his career as a commercial realtor at the Hardy-Marlow Company. He was a lifelong Rotarian, served on numerous boards and provided leadership for organizations such as the Waukesha Chamber of Commerce, Presbyterian Homes and Waukesha's Sister City Program with Kokshetau, Kazakhstan. He was very involved in the revitalization of downtown Waukesha. Always on the move, he was an avid tennis player and bicyclist. In 2006 he married Marybeth Raff and they spent years traveling abroad and enjoying the riverfront, nightlife and social happenings of his beloved downtown Waukesha.
He is survived by his sister Janis Marlow; his daughters Cindy, Kit and Eily, his son Bob, and four grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of a short service at 4:30 pm at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home at 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Private burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rick’s name are appreciated to Presbyterian Homes or The Women’s Center.
