Robert Adams

Waukesha- Lifelong Waukesha resident Robert R. "Bob" Adams, 92, died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at LindenGrove Health Care Center. He was born March 3, 1914 to Charles and Hannah (nee: Roberts) Adams. On September 6, 1941 Bob married Ruth H. Hoppe. He was employed at Waukesha Motors, Dresser Industries for 43 years, retiring in 1979. Bob was a 78 year member of Boy Scout Troop #5 at First Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Old Timers Club and a member of Waukesha Engine Historical Society. His love of birds lead him to be a founding member of the Benjamin F. Goss Bird Club. Bob also enjoyed Indian lore, demonstrated by collecting many Indian artifacts, creating Indian beading, and sharing his interests and knowledge of Indian culture with Waukesha youth. He was also a member of RSVP in Waukesha and was a volunteer at Retzer Nature Center. Bob was an avid woodworker, creating many furniture pieces over the years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church for 69 years. Bob will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Ruth H. Adams of Waukesha; their children, Sharon Ann Adams of Bay View and Lynn Mary (Gustav) Bliese of Waukesha. He is further survived by his dear grandchildren: Janet (Kory) Kraus of New Berlin; Faye (Mike Stoiber) Faust of Milwaukee; Jennifer (Chuck Satterstrom) Bliese of Waukesha; Matthew Bliese of Chicago; great grandson Zachery Kraus; special sister, Betty Ziegler of Canby OR and sister-in-law Dorothy Adams of Waukesha; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Margaret Kennedy, David (Dorothy) Adams, Mary Osiol, Edward, William, Reinhold and Frank Adams. Visitation for Bob will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 from 3:00 PM until the 6:00 PM funeral service at First Presbyterian Church, 810 N. East Ave., Waukesha. Entombment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials in Bob?s name are appreciated to First Presbyterian Church, 810 N.
