Robert L. Blersch, of Pewaukee, died Friday, August 3, 2018 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 94. He was born in Milwaukee on December 5, 1923, the son of John and Francella (nee Robideax) Blersch. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. On July 9, 1949 he married the former Anna M. Fetzer in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on May 8, 2000. Robert was a wrestler and boxer and was the golden and silver gloves champion. He has been a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wauwatosa. For many years Robert owned Royal Oak Reality. He enjoyed building model airplanes, doll houses and golfing. He loved the Packers and saw Don Hutson play and was a fan of the Milwaukee Braves, but not so much the Brewers. He was a member of the Cudworth Choir.
He will be sadly missed by his children Anne (Lee) Gardner of Wales, Kathy (Jim) Pedersen of Pewaukee, John Blersch of Mcloud, OK, Mary Sisson of Burlington, VT, Bob (Sandy) Blersch of Oconomowoc and Larry (Wendy) Blersch of Sullivan. He is further survived by 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, and his grandson Pete Blersch in 2016.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7 from 5:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. vigil service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha. The funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, August 8 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12130 W. Center St., Wauwatosa, WI 53222. Graveside services with full military honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
