Robert J. “Bob” Giesie, of St. Germain, formerly of 123 N. West Avenue in Waukesha, died on Monday, May 30, 2011 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. He was born in Waukesha on December 16, 1932, the son of Lloyd and Kathryn (nee Dick) Giesie. Bob proudly served in the US Army from 1950 until 1953 in Okinawa, Japan during the Korean Conflict. From 1954 until 1958 he worked for Waukesha Motor Works and then worked at the Falk Corporation until his retirement. Bob had a love for old cars especially his 1947 Ford. An avid card player, he enjoyed playing cribbage, euchre, sheepshead and dice, and will always be known for his “golden rules” for euchre. Bob will be fondly remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor as well as the “black-hat” scorekeeper of the Nalcrest Florida Baseball team (2-Bob). He will be forever missed by his wife Patricia (nee Ford) of St. Germain and their children: Peter D. (Sylvia) Giesie of Hartland, William J. (Nicole) Giesie of Oak Grove, MN, Kathryn M. (Rick) Ezell of Colgate, Timothy A. (Julie) Giesie of Hartland and Patricia “Tricia” (Ron) Colaianni of Mukwonago, his grandchildren: Nicole, Marissa, Anthony, Jamie, Austen, Connor, Mandy, Spencer, Anna, Mykayla, Jessica, Olivia, Arthur and Brandon Koepnick, and one great-grandchild Peyton. He is further survived by his brothers: Ralph (Donna) Giesie of Florida, Joseph (Carole) Giesie of Land O’ Lakes, and Jerold Giesie of Florida, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving companion Giezzer. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 4:00 until 7:00PM at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 7:00PM following by full military honors. A celebration of life picnic will be held on Saturday, more information will be available.
