Robert "Bob" L. Grubb

Robert “Bob” L. Grubb of Waukesha died peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at AngelsGrace Hospice surrounded by his family at the age of 82. He was born in Jeff, Illinois on March 22, 1935 the son of John and Hazel (nee Scott) Grubb. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. On July 12, 1960, he married his beloved wife, Bernadette “Bernie” Haas in Piopolis, Illinois. When his children were young, Bob enjoyed coaching his sons’ little league teams and working as a boy scout leader. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a longtime member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church where he was very active in many different areas including the church bible study. He loved gardening, reading, sudoku puzzles and fishing, but most of all, loved being with his family.
He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Bernie of Waukesha and their loving children, Roger (Bee) Grubb of Waukesha, Brad (Lisa) Grubb of North Prairie, Jeff (Debbie) Grubb of Lakeville, MN, Jennifer (Steve) Rowley of Simsbury, CT and Margaret (Steve) Joehnk of Waukesha. He was the proud grandfather of Robert (Abby) Grubb of Waukesha, Deanna Grubb of Waukesha, Rachel Grubb of Lakeville, MN, Jessica Grubb of North Prairie, Becca Grubb of North Prairie, Trevor Grubb of Lakeville, MN, Jake Rowley of Simsbury, CT, Allison Grubb of Lakeville, MN, Nate Rowley of Simsbury, CT, Sophie Grubb of North Prairie, Thomas Joehnk of Waukesha and Samantha Joehnk of Waukesha. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ray Grubb and his sister Marge McNickle.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 12:00 noon Funeral Mass at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 2400 W. State Hwy 59, Waukesha, WI 53189. Father Jose Nieto will preside. Memorials in Bob’s name are appreciated to St. John Neumann Catholic Church, AngelsGrace Hospice, N74 W35908 Servants’ Way, Oconomowoc, WI 53066 or the American Diabetes Association, 375 Bishops’ Way, Suite 220, Brookfield, WI 53005.
