Robert "Bob" P. Johnson

The angels came down from heaven to take Bob home to see his savior. Robert “Bob” P. Johnson of Kiel, WI passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the age of 57. He was born in Waukesha on November 17, 1959 the son of Robert and Dorothy (nee Hansen) Johnson. Bob attended UW-Madison for one year. He enjoyed fishing and had a passion for Rock N Roll music and playing the drums. Bob had a longtime association with Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in Waukesha. He had a great love for cooking and was the owner of A La Carte Catering in Kiel for many years and always said “never trust a skinny chef”. He was known as Chef Bob to the students and staff of Elkhart Lake School District who he was passionate about serving through their lunch program and special events for the teachers.

He will be sadly missed by his mother Dorothy Johnson of Waukesha, his children, Nichole (Travis) Dietrich of Thorp, WI, Robert Johnson of Kiel and Kelly Johnson of Marysville, WA and his grandchildren, Dawson, Tucker, Alexander, Allison and Abagail. He is further survived by his sister Susan Johnson of Waukesha, his brother Craig (Beverly) Johnson of Milwaukee along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Robert R. Johnson, his maternal grandparents, Ozzy and Esther Hansen and paternal grandparents George and Mary Johnson.

The first visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the 6:00 p.m. funeral service at Trinity Lutheran Church of Kiel Wisconsin, 387 Cemetery Rd., Kiel, WI 53042. Reverend Jason C. Hacker will preside.

The second visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Grace Ev. Lutheran, 700 Beechwood Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Reverend Jason C. Hacker will preside. Graveside services will follow at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Grace Ev. Lutheran Church.
