Waukesha- Robert W. Howard, 91,of Waukesha, died on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at LindenGrove Health Care Center. He was born on April 27, 1918 to Walter and Dorothy Howard. Robert served his country in the United States Army serving during WWII in the European Theatre. On November 10,1945 he married Agnes Rosenmerkel, she survives him. He was employed his entire career at Waukesha Motor Works (now Dresser Industries) and is a member of the Old Timers Club. Robert was a longtime member of St. William’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and taking the family to northern Wisconsin for the annual fishing trip and also enjoyed the many sheepshead card games with his buddies at Summit Woods. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Agnes (nee: Rosenmerkel) Howard of Waukesha and their daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Douglas Colfax of Royal Oaks, CA. and his sister, Dorothy Sowder of Springfield, MO. He was preceded in death by his dear son Gerald Howard and his brother Harold Howard. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM Funeral Service at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with full military honors.
