Robert R. Johnson

Robert R. Johnson was called home by our Heavenly Father on October 22, 2014 at the age of 83. He was born on May 22, 1931 in Milner, ND and lived most of his life in Waukesha, WI. Robert served in the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant until March 22, 1955. On October 5, 1957, he married Dorothy A. Hansen at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waukesha and they were blessed with 57 years of marriage. For 35 years, Bob worked, bowled for and retired from AT&T. He also enjoyed the Packers, golf, “Bob Johnsons”, and laughing with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Hansen), children Susan, Robert and Craig (Bev) Johnson, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Patricia Johnson, 5 nephews, their families and many friends.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Johnson and brother Gordon “Jug” Johnson.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 700 Beechwood Ave, Waukesha, WI 53186 from 10 to 11 a.m. with a service to follow at 11 AM. Robert will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park, 14875 W Greenfield Avenue, New Berlin, WI 53151-1515. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church are appreciated.
