Robert B. Kahler of New Berlin joined Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 5, 2024 at the age of 73. He was born in Albany, Georgia on October 3, 1950 the son of Ralph and Lois (Housman) Kahler. On June 7, 1971 he married Joanna Duke in Albany, Georgia; she preceded him in death on July 12, 2013. Robert was a faithful member of the Church of Acts in Waukesha for many years. His greatest joy in life was his family and he especially loved being a grandfather. Robert cherished the times he was with his family making memories and sharing stories. Beyond his strong faith and love for his family, Robert was a huge sports fan, especially of his home state teams, Georgia Tech, the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons. He loved to play chess, watch gameshows and would never turn down a scoop of ice cream. Robert was selfless, had a huge heart and will always be remembered as an amazing father and grandfather.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Melanie Kloth of New Berlin and Rob (Amanda) Kahler of Waukesha; his mother Lois Kahler, his grandchildren, Christian Kloth, Cassia Kloth, Corinna Kloth, Renata Kloth, Katlynn Kahler, Robert P. Kahler and Jonathan Kahler and great-grandson Mason Kade Walker. He is further survived by his 8 siblings, Lois (Ron) Rooney, Liz (Phil) McCall, Bill (Cheryl) Kahler, Stephen (Caroline) Kahler, Cecelia Kahler, Matthew Kahler, Anita Kahler, Walter Kahler, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife, Joanna he was preceded in death by his father Ralph.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Bridge Church, 1314 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
