Robert Pallister

July 12, 1924 — June 12, 2007

Robert J. Pallister, 82, of Dousman, was born to eternal life on June 12, 2007 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 12, 1924 in Milwaukee to Herbert R. and Verena (nee: Hemsing) Pallister. Bob proudly served his country from 1942 until 1946 in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was stationed in India where he was in charge of the disposal of chemical bombs. On February 14, 1947 he married the former Shirley G. Mayesky. He was the owner of RP Floor Company. He established his floor sanding business in 1956 and was extremely proud that it has remained a family business, now in its 3rd generation. He loved to travel and loved his cottage in Sturgeon Bay, where he spent his summers. During the winter he traveled to his home in Englewood, Florida. He will be sadly missed by his friends and welcomed opportunities to visit and spend time with them. He was a member of Gross-Yaksh VFW Post 6498 in Milwaukee and has been a member of St. Williams Catholic Church for the past four years. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley of Dousman, along with their children Jill (Michael) Fitzgerald of Muskego, Robin (Daniel) Olson of Jackson, and Randy (Sue) Pallister of Waukesha. He was the proud grandfather of Lisa (Robert) Lamb of East Troy, Matthew (Jessica) Braeger of Wauwatosa, and Daniel, Stephanie and Michael Pallister all of Waukesha, and great grandfather of Zack and Blake Lamb of East Troy. He was the cherished brother of Marian Dietrich of Green Valley, AZ and Charlotte Cronce of Brown Deer. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He had a special place in his heart for his beloved granddogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son Robert John Pallister, son-in-law Tom Mallman and brothers-in-law Charles Cronce and Walter Dietrich. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 14th from 4:00 PM until the 6:00 PM funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A private family burial will take place at Chapel Hill in Milwaukee. Memorials to the family are appreciated.
