Robert “Bob” G. Waite of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Three Pillars in Dousman at the age of 88. He was born in Waukesha on July 13, 1929 the son of Ralph and Marion (nee Maxwell) Waite. He was a 1948 graduate of Waukesha High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. On July 19, 1952 he married his beloved wife Doris (nee Jamieson). Bob worked for Amron for more than 20 years where he retired as manager of data processing. Bob and Doris lived most of their life in the Waukesha area, but also enjoyed their home on Lake Camelot in Nekoosa and their winter home in Apache Junction, AZ. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing on his computer, playing cards (especially Sheepshead) and camping. He found great joy in spending time with his family and taking them on many different travel experiences.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 65 years, Doris and their children, Linda J. Rouse of Waukesha and Rob J. Waite of Oconomowoc, his grandchildren, Thomas Rouse, Michael (Jennifer) Rouse, Amber (Jason) Thornton and Britney Waite, his great-grandchildren, Natasha Rouse and Quentin Thornton and two great-great-grandchildren, Landon and Amelia. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Helen Jean Bliese.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the 3:00 p.m. memorial service at the Ewald Chapel at Three Pillars Village on the Square, 375 Hwy 67 Dousman, WI 53118. Pastor Terese Leonhard will preside. Private inurnment with full military honors will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
