Roberta “Bobbie” J. Bertacchini of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at her home at Avalon Square at the age of 90. She was born in Waukegan, IL on September 25, 1929 the daughter of Robert and AnnaBelle (Kampe) Anderson. Bobbie attended Carroll College where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. While attending Carroll College she met and married Gene Bertacchini. They decided to settle in Waukesha where they raised their family. She was a charter member of Southminster Presbyterian Church as well as a deacon. She also found enjoyment in playing the piano for the church youth choir. Bobbie was a member of Toast Mistress and was a passionate antique and art collector. She greatly enjoyed spending time in Waupaca at her beloved cottage on Columbia Lake on the Chain O’ Lakes.
Bobbie had a positive, loving spirit and a contagious joy for life. She will be dearly missed by her children, Sandra Bertacchini Henke of Waukesha, Tom Bertacchini (Nancy Hetzer) of Waupaca, Jeff (Debra) Bertacchini of New Berlin and her two grandchildren, Jacob Woyahn-Henke and Elizabeth Bertacchini. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Shirly, grandson Matthew Woyahn-Henke, and son-in-law James A. Henke. She is further survived by other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 200 Richard Street, Waukesha, WI on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at the church.
