Roger "Buster" Hayes

WAUKESHA-Roger L. "Buster" Hayes, of Waukesha, formerly of Milwaukee, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at The Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 78. He was born on November 15, 1929 in Baraboo to Merle and Marcia (nee: Leighty) Hayes. On September 4, 1952 he married the former Betty Sue Griffin at Gunter Air Force Base in Alabama. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force serving in the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. He had worked at American Motors and then worked for 30+ years at Harley-Davidson, before retiring. He will be sadly missed by his children Ronald (Maureen) Hayes of Milwaukee, Karen (Zaki) Abunegila of New Berlin and Mark (Tracey) Hayes of Dousman. Dear grandfather of Joseph Hayes, Jennifer (Nick) Lieb, Michael Hayes and Nicole Garland, and great-grandfather of Cameron Hayes and Emma Rose Lieb. He is further survived by his brother Larry Hayes of Arlington, Virginia, sister-in-law Mammie Lou Kendrick of Evergreen, Alabama, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Sue Hayes on March 29, 2008, sister Eileen Kablitz and brother William Hayes. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13 from 10:00 AM until the 12:00 Noon funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 PM at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield with full military honors. Please meet at the cemetery.
