Rolland L. Fletcher of Waukesha, formerly of New York, died on Monday, October 28, 2019 at his residence at the age of 92. He was born in Emily, Minnesota on July 6, 1927 the son of Lester and Ruth (nee Macy) Fletcher. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Miltonvale Wesleyan College in 1949. While in college he loved singing in the college quartet, where he met his wife when the quartet visited her hometown. He married Alice (Betz) on July 27, 1949 in Billings, Montana. Rolland was a pastor for 20 years for the Wesleyan Church throughout the upper midwest. He also worked as a carpenter for Houghton College in New York until his retirement in 1990.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife and best friend of 70 years, Alice of Waukesha and their loving children, Diana (Terrence) Stoneberg of Fairfax, VA, Laurel (Jean-Marc) Pinard of Fairfax, VA, Rodney (Joy) Fletcher of Nashville, TN and Wenda (Gerry) Krupp of Mukwonago, WI. He was the proud grandfather of Richard Stoneberg of Fairfax, VA, Rolland (Marie) Stoneberg of Manassas, VA, Francois (Lisa) Pinard of Redondo Beach, CA, Andre (Gretchen) Pinard of Lisle, IL, Jaclyn Fletcher of Nashville, Geoffrey Krupp of Milwaukee and Allison and Alexander Krupp of Marion, IN and great-grandfather of Juliana Johnson, Anais, Giselle, Guillaume, Gavrie, Faye, Celeste and Vincent Pinard. He is further survived by his sisters and brother, Lola Hermann of Marshfield, MO, Albert (Lucille) Fletcher of Fort Wayne, IN, Carol (the late Ben) Baas of Marion, IN, Esther (the late Don) Vermillion and Rebecca (the late David) Engel of Indianapolis, IN, sister-in-law Doris Harris of Rockford, IL, brother-in-law Burl Baty of Joliet, MT along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Ruth Baty.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 9:30 AM until the time of the 11:00 AM memorial service at First Baptist Church of Waukesha, 247 Wisconsin Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186
