Ronald “Ron” N. Chatfield of East Troy, died on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at AngelsGrace Hospice at age 82. He was born in Waukesha on November 17, 1933 the son of Clarence and Gertrude (nee Buske) Chatfield. Ron was a graduate of Waukesha High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. On September 15, 1957 he married Ruth Ann Church; she preceded him in death in 1984. Ron was a truck driver for Interstate Systems and Buchan Trucking. He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Debra Fuerstenberg of Greenfield, Susan (Timothy) Walsh of Oconomowoc, Rhonda Foster of Waukesha and Lori (Fred) Harwood of Puyallup, WA. He was the proud grandfather of Ryan Wik, Matthew Springer, Paul Springer, Kalyn Manning, Sarah Manning, Riley Walsh and Kilian Walsh and beloved great-grandfather of 7. He is further survived by his sister Dolores (the late Butch) Buchan of Waukesha along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife Ruth Ann, he was preceded in death by his son David Chatfield in 1995, his grandson James Springer in 2014 and his brother Bruce Chatfield.
A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday April 24, 2016 at Little Prairie United Methodist Church 9515 Palmyra Rd. Little Prairie Wisconsin. Burial will be at Little Prairie Cemetery in Eagle. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the family.
