Ronald "Ron" Blum

Ronald F. “Ron” Blum, of Pewaukee, died on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at LindenGrove in Waukesha at the age of 77. He was born in Milwaukee on November 4, 1934 the son of Floyd and Alice (nee Schnerstein) Blum. Ron was a 1953 graduate of Wauwatosa East High School and a 1955 graduate of the Layton School of the Arts. On June 2, 1956 he married the former Karen Fabri at Wauwatosa Avenue United Methodist Church. Ron worked in the commercial art industry as a manager and salesperson at Frank Bercker Studios in Milwaukee and then at Ferderbar Studios in West Allis. He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waukesha since 1973. He was also a member of the Milwaukee Advertising Club. He will be sadly missed by his wife Karen of Pewaukee and their children, Mark (Debbie) Blum of Wales and Susan (Nicholas) Glab of Watertown, his four granddaughters, Heather Blum of Hartford, Erin Blum of Waukesha, and Shannon and Emily Blum both of Wales. He is further survived by his sister-in-law Carolyn Blum of Hartford along with other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Blum. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 from 4:00 until 7:00PM at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI. Visitation continues on Tuesday, March 20 at First United Methodist Church, 121 Wisconsin Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186 from 12:00 Noon until the 1:00PM funeral service. Rev. Dan Schwerin and Rev.
