Ronald “Ronnie” A. Sallmann of Dousman died on Friday, September 30, 2016 with his family by his side at AngelsGrace Hospice at age 65 following a short illness. He was born in Milwaukee on June 14, 1951 the son of Albert and Rita (nee Landgraf) Sallmann. He was a 1970 graduate of Waukesha South High School. Ron started his career as a meat cutter and started his own shop in South Milwaukee called Ron’s PDQ, then started a successful painting company and for a short time owned “The Bar” in downtown Waukesha. Ron was an avid sportsman and hunter with many successful hunts in the United States, Canada and Africa. He was proud member of the Bread of Life Charismatic Episcopal Church in Dousman. Ron loved being with his family and will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He will be deeply missed by his best friend Linda and his sons and daughters-in-law that he loved so much, Josh (Chris) Sallmann and Eric (Windi) Sallmann both of Dousman and his grandchildren who he cherished, Brooke, Tyler, Paige, Avery, Adyson and Cole. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Gerry (Karolina) Sallmann, Judy (Ken) Spencer, Donna Evert, Jim (Janet) Sallmann, John (Diane) Sallmann, Rick Sallmann, Mark (Lori) Sallmann and Dave (Lesa) Sallmann along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Rita, his sister JoAnne Gedde and nephew Adam Sallmann.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Bread of Life Charismatic Episcopal Church, 214 Grove Street, Dousman, WI 53118. Father Christopher Keough will preside. A reception will follow. Memorials in Ron’s name are appreciated to his church.
