Rose T. Oman

Rose Therese Oman, 87, formerly of Waukesha died Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at her home at Heritage Senior Living in Elm Grove. She was born in Milwaukee on August 23, 1928 the daughter of Edward and Mary (nee: Wilczewski) Jazwiecki. She was a graduate of Girls Tech High School in 1946. On December 27, 1947 she married Ervin Oman. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she served as President of Christian Mothers. Rose took after her father and was an outstanding baker, even her great granddaughter called her grandma cookie. Her cooking was not to be beat, and no one left her table hungry. She was also known to her grandkids as the Skip-Bo champion of the family.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Ervin of Elm Grove, her children Jim (Vicki) of Rochelle, Illinois, Linda (Rey) Barran of Neenah, and Ron (Denise) of Pewaukee, grandchildren Robert Oman, Jeffrey Oman, Brittany (Michael) Stanley, Briana (Jon) Siew, Elise Oman, and Alex (Havalyn) Oman. She was very proud to be great grandmother to Ashleigh, Sydney, Alec, Brynne, and Avery Grace. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceding her in death were her siblings Val (the late Alice) Jazwiecki, and Esther (the late Oscar) Groszczyk.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI. The Reverend Curt Frederick will preside. Private Burial will be in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
