Rosemary Xavier Nader a lifelong Waukesha resident passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at the age of 102. She was born in Waukesha on September 3, 1922, the daughter of Peter and Mary (nee Jaworsky) Bach.
On June 10, 1950 she married Merlin “Hans” Nader; he preceded her in death on December 11, 2014.
Rosemary proudly served her country in the United States Navy during WWII and was the first US Navy Wave in Waukesha County. She enjoyed her friendships made with fellow Navy Waves during WWII the rest of her life.
Rosemary was a devoted member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church all of her life. She worked in computer data processing for over 20 years at General Castings and Wisconsin Centrifugal in Waukesha. She loved sports, especially Packers and Badgers football. When her husband, Hans, was a high school basketball coach, she attended all the games and kept statistics for the team. She didn't hesitate to let the referees know if she disagreed with their calls. Rosemary was full of life and will always be remembered for her love for her family and her fun and social spirit.
She will be sadly missed by her children Cynthia Nader and Gregory Nader both of Waukesha; devoted and beloved niece Mary “Micky” Skoug, special niece Ann Nader; sister-in-law Marlene Nader; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to her cherished husband of 64 years, Hans, she was preceded in death by her 9 siblings and their spouses, and 10 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their spouses.
Greatest gratitude is extended to niece, Micky, for her love, support and care during Rosemary’s final years and especially the last few months.
Rosemary will be laid to rest privately at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
