Ruelle J. Holland, of Ottawa, died on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Three Pillars in Dousman at the age of 91. She was born in Waukesha on November 14, 1922 the daughter of Harvey and Emma (nee Whitmore) Wolfe. She was a 1940 graduate of Waukesha High School. On April 2, 1942 she married Chester Holland; he preceded her in death on December 31, 1996. Ruelle was a longtime member of Ottawa Presbyterian Church. She was dedicated to the Ottawa Community and enjoyed volunteering as a poll worker. Ruelle was devoted to her family and they meant the world to her. She will always be remembered as a loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Brian (Margaret) Holland of Oconomowoc and Shari Holland of Gurnee, IL, her daughters-in-law Carolyn Holland of Madison and Mary Lou (Bill) O’Brien of Hermosa Beach, CA. She was the dear grandmother of Heather Pauley, Hans (Dianna) Holland, Robert (Lynn) Zeck, Nichelle (Paul) Martin, Tracy Holland, Hayes (Frances) Holland, Ronda (Ed) de Bie, Nick (Vicki) Holland, Neil (fiancée Nora) Holland, Kasie Ruelle Mueller and Luke (fiancée Ahna) Mueller, her great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Randi (Aaron), NazaRae, Jeremiah, Shelby, Jasmine, Shyheem, Dylan, Cierra, Michaela Briana and Devon and two great-great-grandchildren, Madalyn and William. She is further survived by her sister Janice (the late Mel) Turley of Oconomowoc, her sister-in-law Nora (Harold) Dalman along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Chester, her sons Bruce and Larry Holland, her brothers Floyd and Russell Wolfe.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 11:00AM until the time of the 12:30PM funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Burial will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
