Ruth H. Adams, of Waukesha, died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at her residence at the age of 92. She was born on August 12, 1918 in North Lake, WI to Charles and Anna (nee Koester) Hoppe. She had worked for Zillmer’s Office Supply. Ruth was a very active, longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was a former Deacon/Elder and involved with many activities. Her love of birds lead her to become a member of the Benjamin F. Goss Bird Club. She was a member of the Welsh Women’s Club and RSVP in Waukesha. For many years Ruth was a volunteer at Old World Wisconsin and Retzner Nature Center. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Sharon A. Adams of Milwaukee and Lynn M. (Gustav) Bliese of Waukesha. Dear grandmother of Janet (Kory) Kraus of New Berlin, Faye (Mike Stoiber) Faust of Milwaukee, Jennifer (Charles) Satterstrom of Muskego and Matthew Bliese of Chicago. Proud great grandmother of Zachary Robert Kraus. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Adams on March 1, 2007, and brothers Harry (Esther) Hoppe and Carl (Mabel) Hoppe, sister Myrtle (Charles) Kind and sisters-in-law Joyce and Dora Hoppe. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15 from 12:00 pm until the 1:00 pm Funeral Service at First Presbyterian Church, 810 N. East Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186. The Reverends Dee Talley and Don Clarke presiding. Entombment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
