Ruth Ann Hernandez, of Waukesha, died on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 69. She was born in Menomonie, WI on October 10, 1945 the daughter of Vernon and Carole (nee Tueveng) Hintz. She was a 1963 graduate of Waukesha South High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from UW-Whitewater. Ruth worked as a teacher’s aide at Lowell Elementary School in Waukesha for 20 years. On April 20, 2000 she married Ronald Hernandez in Waukesha. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Ronald of Waukesha, her son Stephen (Kirstin) Shuda of New Berlin, her step-children, Aaron (Julie) Hernandez of Waukesha and Nicole Johnson of Oconomowoc, her mother Carole Mariani of Sun City West, AZ and her grandchildren Zachary and Trevor Shuda of New Berlin. She is further survived by her brothers, Norman “Butch” (Sherry) Hintz of Waukesha, Kevin Hintz of Camp Douglas, WI and Thomas (Betsy) Hintz of Arizona, her step-sister Rebecca Mariani of Arizona, her step-brother Gregory (Stacy) Mariani of Arizona along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Eric Shuda in 1989, her father Vernon Hintz, her step-mother Jean Hintz and her step-father Carmel Mariani.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 2:00PM until the time of the 4:00PM memorial service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Pastor Karen Pahl will preside. Burial will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00AM at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin. Please meet at the cemetery.
