Ruth M. Turner of Pewaukee passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at LindenGrove in Waukesha at the age of 87. She was born in Menominee, MI on November 1, 1931 the daughter of Edwin and Edna (nee Carlson) Henes. She earned her bachelor’s degree in home economics from Michigan State University. She was a member of the Vagabond Ski Club where she met her husband Charles, and they were married on October 19, 1963. Ruth worked as the food service banquet manager for Marquette University, but her pride and joy was raising her four children. Ruth enjoyed cooking, crafting, traveling, and gardening and will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She will be sadly missed by her devoted and loving husband of 55 years, Charles of Pewaukee and their beloved children, Susan (Jonathan) Darling of Green Bay, Charles A. Turner of Waukesha and Julie (Leo) Haideman of Pewaukee. She was the dear grandmother of Allison and Kathryn Darling and Kristina, Eleni, Sophia and Peter Haideman. She is further survived by her sister Sally (Frederick) Walter of Menomonee Falls along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Mark Turner and her brother Robert Henes.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until time of the 6:00 p.m. funeral Mass at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, 111 E. Main Street, Waukesha, WI 53186. The Reverend David Simmons will preside. Interment will be private. Memorials in Ruth’s name are appreciated to St. Matthias Episcopal Church.
