Sally Morey

Sally Ann Morey (Rosenmerkel) passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She and her husband, Chuck, moved there in October 2014. Sally was born in Waukesha, WI on July 10, 1934 to Stella and Carl Rosenmerkel. She attended Blair Grade School, Waukesha High School and Carroll College, graduating with a BA in Education. While there she belonged to and was active in Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Chuck, her beloved daughters Carol Wakely and Nancy Goelitz (Chuck), her two precious granddaughters Sara Sturgeon (Chris) and Lindsey Wakely (Chris), and adorable great granddaughter, Maggie Sturgeon. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Janet Lauer, plus other nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Sally treasured each day of her life. She loved to travel and explore new food adventures. She lived her dream of being a wife and mother. Her family was God’s gift. 

There will not be a service. Entombment will be private at Prairie Home Cemetery.
