Sam the man who didn't give a damn will finally be laid to rest. Samuel H. "Sam" Saenz, of Waukesha, died on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Seasons Hospice at the age of 78. He was born on January 10, 1933 in San Antonio, TX the son of Pedro and Eugene (nee Hernandez) Saenz. He married Gloria Hernandez on November 24, 1961 in Waukesha. Sam served as a civil servant in San Antonio at both the Lakeland Air Force Base and the Kelly Air Force Base. He worked for many years as a maintenance worker for General Castings. He enjoyed gardening and was a great handyman who was always willing to help others. He will be forever remembered as a hardworking man and a wonderful husband and father. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Gloria of Waukesha and their children: Rosario Saenz of San Antonio, TX, Julie Ann Saenz Ahmadi of Austin, TX, Henrietta (David) Long of Waukesha, Eleanor (Dale) Solon of Brookfield, Robert (Debra Parker) Saenz of Milwaukee and Christopher Saenz of Waukesha, his grandchildren: Jesse and Danielle Neito of San Antonio, TX, Rodolfo, Michelle, and Fouad Flores, Shawn (Rebecca) Al-Bannay and Hady Mawajdeh all of Austin, TX, Jennifer (Bryan) Williams of Virginia, Ryan, Peter and Samantha Long all of Waukesha, Shajuan and Marvin May, Josh and Nicole Parker all of Milwaukee, and Kimberlie and Jordan Saenz of Waukesha, great-grandchildren: Alexandra Flores, Amelia Al-Bannay, Jasmyne Jimenez Long, Evan Williams, and Jayden, Jacobi and Isabella Parker. He is further survived by his sister Mary Ramos of Texas, brothers-in-law Peter (Roxanne) Hernandez of Waukesha, Paul (Diane Hughes) Hernandez of Waukesha, and Ray (Karen) Martinez of North Carolina, sisters-in-law Nancy Hernandez and Mary Mendez both of Waukesha, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Samuel Saenz, Jr., sister Celia Gallardo, brother Raymond Saenz, mother-in-law Jean Hernandez-Martinez, father-in-law Simon Martinez, brothers-in-law Robert Hernandez, Ben Gallardo and Trino Ramos and his parents.
