Scott E. Tolbert, of Waukesha, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the age of 56. He was born in Waukesha on March 6, 1959 the son of James Watson Tolbert III and Betty (nee Doherty) Tolbert. He was a 1974 graduate of Waukesha South High School. Scott loved snowmobiling, riding his Harleys, working on cars, and had a special place in his heart for cats. Unbeknownst to the world, Scott carried a cross in his pocket daily to remind him of where his strength came from for each moment and each test he would experience. He treasured the memories of his years as a car salesman. He was well loved and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his mother Betty Tolbert of Waukesha, his children Corinne and Zachary and his grandchildren. He is further survived by cousins, other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his father James, his brother James W. Tolbert IV, his grandparents, James and Margaret Tolbert and Erling and Elizabeth Frostad and great-grandmother Hazel E. Zack.
Much gratitude is extended to Waukesha Heart Specialists and Dr. Sanjay Singh, Dr. Harinder Gill and Dr. Hammond for their efforts to best serve Scott’s quality of life. His family deeply thanks the staff of the ICU Unit at Waukesha Memorial Hospital who serve with medical prowess and deep compassion.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the 5:00 p.m. memorial service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Private burial will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to his surviving family member to be distributed to Scott’s favorite charities.
