Sinead A. Raleigh, passed away after a long battle with health issues on March 30, 2025 at the age of 52. She was born in Ireland on February 1, 1973 the daughter of Sean and Nora Raleigh and moved to the United States with her family in 1991. Sinead demonstrated remarkable courage throughout her life, as she refused to let her disability define her. Her unwavering positivity and vibrant spirit left a profound impact on the lives of those who knew her.
For many years, Sinead enjoyed working at Metro Market, where she thrived in the company of people and helping customers. She was known for being independent, determined, a fighter, and always happy—a testament to her warrior spirit. Sinead had a variety of interests including going to the gym (primarily to socialize), swimming, reading magazines, and was continually fascinated by the weather. She cherished her nieces and nephews and showered them with love and gifts.
Sinead is survived by her loving partner, Shawn Howe, and her devoted parents, Sean and Nora Raleigh. She leaves behind her cherished sisters: Aoife (Jeremy) Holden, Tara Raleigh, and Clionadh (Sam Barrett) Raleigh, as well as her brother, Sean (Amy) Raleigh. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by family friend Linda Konsella, her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Sinead's legacy of grace, strength, and connection with others will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. The Gaelic translation of her name, meaning "God is Gracious," aptly captures the warmth she brought into the world.
A funeral Mass in her honor will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 9:00AM, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 2400 State Rd 59, Waukesha. Father Matthew Widder will preside. Another service and burial will be held in Ireland.
