Sister Mary Joyce King

Discalced Carmelite Nun, Sister Mary Joyce King, age 91, Carmel of the Mother of God, Pewaukee, entered eternal life Sunday, September 20, 2015. She was born in Fargo, ND, on April 25, 1924, the daughter of Bert and Genevieve (nee Rafferty) Geiser. She entered the Carmelite Monastery later in life and is survived by a daughter, a niece, nephews and other relatives and friends. She used her education, a PhD in English and a MS in Educational Psychology, to develop a Formation Program for monastery candidates.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015, from 9:30AM until the time of the 11:00AM funeral Mass at the chapel of the Carmel of the Mother of God Monastery, W267 N2517 Carmelite Road, Pewaukee, WI, 53072. Father Dennis Klemme, presider, will be joined by the Carmelite Friars of Holy Hill in celebrating the funeral Mass. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
