Stanley P. Catarozoli

September 7, 1925 — September 10, 2018

Stanley P. Catarozoli, a lifelong Waukesha resident, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the age of 93. He was born on September 7, 1925 to Anthony and Filomenia (nee: Marchillo) Catarozoli. Stanley, a World War II Veteran, proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and flew 35 missions as an aerial gunner. He was a member of the American Legion D.J. Martin Post #8 and in 2008 he took the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight. He worked many years as a carpenter. Stanley was a devoted husband to Georgia G. (nee Rappis) for 72 years, she preceded him in death on December 3, 2017.
Left to cherish him in memory are his loving children, Christine (Gil) Collins, Tony “Butch” (Sara) Catarozoli, Stanley “Chub” (Loretta) Catarozoli, Sam (Debbie) Catarozoli, Valerie Jo Holley-Ballogh, Gina (Billy) Aspley and Lisa (Bruce) Hense. Proud Papa of Lori Jo, Thor, Tracey (John), Toni Lynne (Kevin), Tamari (Al), Taryn (Joel), Lance (Maureen), Wendy (Scott), Nicholas, Taylor (Corrine), Connor, Tori, Andy (Amy), Sami Jo (Matt), Sarah, Jed, Melissa (Nate), Troy and Jerid; 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
He is further survived by his brother, Ernie (Joan) Catarozoli; his sister, Mary (the late Frank) Volcensek, sister-in-law, Mary Catarozzoli and brother-in-law, George Dobson along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Georgia, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jodi in 2018, his brother, Babe Catarozzoli, sisters, Rosie (Ray Gnacinski and Victoria Dobson.
A special and heartfelt thank you is extended to Legacy Assisted Living in Pewaukee and Legacy Hospice in Brookfield, your care and kindness has meant so much to our family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 4:00 PM until the time of the 6:00 PM funeral Mass all at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave. Waukesha. Private interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to Legacy Assisted Living, 26511 College Ave Pewaukee, WI 53072or Legacy Hospice, 850 Elm Grove Road, Suite 21 Brookfield, WI 53122.
