Stella M. Heintz, of Waukesha, died Monday, November 17, 2008 at Waukesha Springs at the age of 97. She was born on November 19, 1910 in the town of Pewaukee, the daughter of Walter and Francis (nee Barndt) Winkelman. Stella was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Hartland, and later was married there on February 1, 1933 to Hugo Heintz. She was a longtime member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Waukesha. She was active during World War II helping with the war effort. Stella had been a cook at Ten Chimneys for Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne and later had her own restaurant in Lannon. Stella will be sadly missed by her daughters: Lorraine Olson of Hartland, Virginia Partin of Waukesha, and Janice Perkins of Pewaukee; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; siblings: Harvey Winkelman of Ixonia; Mable Bierman of Dousman, Ruth Evert of Marshall, Helen (Gordon) Manke of Watertown, Evelyn Staus of North Lake; and Marion Abrath of Pewaukee. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Hugo; son, David Heintz; daughter, Joan Estel; brothers: Reinhold and Robert Winkelman; sister, Gladys Schwister; sons- in- law, Ray Connell and Richard Perkins and sister-in-law, Elsie Winkelman. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM Funeral Service at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 1052 Whiterock Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186.
