Steven H. Koentop

Steven H. Koentop, of Waukesha, died on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 26, 1952 in Waukesha, the son of Donald and Mavene (nee Gowans) Koentop. He was a coach for his son David’s high school hockey team and was very proud of him when he became a doctor. On August 5, 1972 he married the former Carmen Pazos in Milltown, New Jersey. He was a produce buyer and loved working with the farmers. Family was very important to him, especially his dog Molly May. He had a great sense of humor, big heart, an avid baseball and hockey fan, enjoyed golf and loved his Dodge Durango.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Carmen; his son David Eric (fiancée Cristina Klymasz) Koentop; brother-in-law Richard Pazos and cousins Mary (Glen) Gormanson, Linda Sinkovits and Carol (Pat) Gallagher. He is further survived by other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law Louis and Evelyn Pazos and his brother Robert Koentop.
