Susan Lynn Brooker (Young) (Nee Knoebel)

Susan L. Brooker (Young) (nee Knoebel), of New Berlin, died Sunday, March 6, 2016 at her home at the age of 70. She was born on October 7, 1945, in Wisconsin, to Albert J. and Janet (nee Dillaber) Knoebel. She began her waitressing career at Mary’s Restaurant and later worked for over 25 years at Dave’s Restaurant, both in downtown Waukesha. She enjoyed bowling, going to casino’s and making greeting cards. She loved to travel, especially to Arizona where she enjoyed organizing the daily activities at the Hacienda. Her greatest joy was her grandson Jordan “J.R.”
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Robert E. Brooker of New Berlin, her daughter Erin (Steve) Stehofsky of New Berlin and grandson Jordan “J.R.” Stehofsky of New Berlin. She is further survived by her siblings Joan Koconis, Keith Knoebel, Charles Knoebel and Kathleen Knoebel.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14 from 4:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. Memorial Service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha. Burial of cremated remains will take place on Tuesday, March 15 at Highland Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. (please meet at the cemetery office).
