Susan Ann Dornbrook, of Waukesha, died of cancer on Thursday, July 26, 2012. She was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 4, 1949, the daughter of Charles and Phyllis Luedke. She graduated from Grafton High School in 1967. She worked in the card and gift, jewelry and beauty industry for much of her life, most recently at Walgreens and Hallmark. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Rose-Harms Unit 355 in Grafton, WI. She was a founding member of Christ the Life Lutheran Church in Waukesha, WI. Susan is survived by her mother Phyllis Luedke; brother Michael Luedke; daughter Barbara Luedke; sons James Dornbrook and his wife Angela, and Mathew Dornbrook; and granddaughter Amanda Herron. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Luedke Sr., and brother Charles Luedke Jr. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., on Tuesday, July 31, at Christ the Life Lutheran Church, 3031 Summit Avenue, Waukesha, WI, 53188. Funeral service 11 a.m.. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
