Susan L Williams

June 13, 1950 — November 9, 2024

Waukesha

Susan L. Williams of Waukesha, WI passed away on Saturday , November 9, 2024, at the age of 74. She was born in Waukesha to Robert and Lucille Williams on June 13, 1950.

After graduating from Waukesha High School in 1968, Sue studied at UW-Lacrosse and graduated from WCTI.

For 38 years Sue worked for the railroads starting as a clerk with the Soo Line/Milwaukee Road and retiring as a Terminal Manager with the Canadian Pacific Railroad (CP) in the Chicago area.

Upon retirement, Susan moved back to Waukesha to be close to her family and to spend more time with her high school friends. Her love for traveling took Sue on numerous road trips and worldwide cruises, where she enjoyed exploring new places and delighted in meeting the locals. Back at home, Sue, just like her father, was a very vocal armchair quarterback that rarely missed a Badger or Packer game.

Sue spent the last four years at Avalon Manor, where she enjoyed all the activities, the other residents and the wonderful staff.

Sue is survived by her sister Sally (Williams) Morgan, her cousins and her numerous, full of life, and spirited friends from high school and work.

Greatest gratitude is extended to her friends Susan Wiegner and Chris Orth O’Neil for their support and care during Sue’s final years and especially the last few months.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Lucille Williams, Brother Tom Williams, and Fiancé Bill Thomas.

To honor Sue’s request, a private service will take place.

Take a moment for Sue: Close your eyes and bring back a memory of a time long ago when we had no worries in life and joyously laughed together.
