Susie loved all things crafts and was very artistic. In 1991, she started working at Jo-Ann Fabrics to support one of her favorite hobbies. Susie loved making costumes for her kids, blankets for friends and family and on weekends in the early nineties, you could find her setting up a booth with her Mom at local craft fairs where they would spend the day together selling the most detailed home décor they made.

Susie lived to be a Mom. She was actively involved as a room parent when her children were growing up and attending Dousman Elementary, she was a Girl Scout Leader and cookie mom and never missed volunteering for a fieldtrip. She also took cake decorating classes and made personalized cakes for those she was close to. Susie made everything special for everyone that she loved. And just as she lived to be a Mom, she lived to be a Dima (Grandma) too. She loved every moment spent with her grandchildren, especially her overnights babysitting, teaching them to bake, making crafts, going strawberry picking and going on walks.

Susie also enjoyed many other things in life including, collecting rocks from her friends from their travels, Peanuts (Charlie Brown), attending high school reunions as a proud Waukesha Northstar, baking and holding an annual Cookie Open House for friends and family where she baked dozens and dozens of cookies, shooting pool in a pool league, watching Packer Games with Don, hosting incredible Halloween parties and always ensuring her kids birthdays were special.
