Thomas “Tom” G. Laszewski of Waukesha passed away on June 30, 2017 at Cedar Grove Assisted Living at the age of 85. He was born in Milwaukee on December 30, 1931 the son of Patrick and Alice (nee: Frank) Laszewski. Tom was a 1951 graduate of Riverside High School. He was a proud member of The Operating Engineers Local #317 where he served as steward, assistant steward, and on the bargaining committee. He had worked at Wisconsin Electric for 37 years retiring in 1988. In his retirement, he enjoyed his job at Walmart retiring in 2006. He was especially passionate about community service and was proud to be a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge #400 in Waukesha. He served as an Elk in all of the chairs and as trustee. In 1999, he served as exalter ruler.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Patricia, daughters Joanne (Terrance) Byrne of Wausau, Janine (James) Boldra of Menasha, and Jacqueline (Thomas) Laumann of Wales, step-daughter Sandra (Jerry) Major of Nashota, grandchildren Kevin (Stacy) Byrne, Kyle (Clairie) Byrne, Matthew (Maggie) Byrne, and Douglas (Fiancée Abigail) Rouse, great grandchildren Avery Byrne and Teagen Rouse, step-grandchildren Shawn (Joyce) Hansen, Steve Hansen, Scott Hansen, andTimothy Hansen. He is further survived by his brothers Clayton (Evelyn) Laszewski of Antigo, and Melvin (Joan) Laszewski of Tennessee, sister Patricia (Norman) Pratt of Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his great-grandson Elijah Byrne.
Visitation will be held at Randle-Dable Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave, Waukesha, WI 53186 on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The Elks Lodge of Sorrow will take place at 12:00 PM with the funeral service immediately following, ALL AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
