Thomas C. “Tom” Traeger of Waukesha died on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Seasons Hospice at the age of 66. He was born in Milwaukee on February 6, 1946, the son of Harold and June (nee Boys) Traeger. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Tom was a member of Sheet Metal Workers International Union Local 18. On July 13, 1968, he married the former Christine “Chris” Kuhlman at St. Mary Catholic Church where he has been a longtime member. He worked in the industrial sheet metal field for 47 years, most recently as a project manager for Doral. Tom was an avid train collector and a big train show fan. Tom was an animal lover and an exhibitor of Wheaten Terriers, a 25-year volunteer for the canine display at Irish Fest and will be missed by his grandhorse Magic and his granddog Paddy.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Chris, of Waukesha, along with their children Andrew (Renee) Traeger of Waukesha and Francine (Greg Joram) Traeger of Brown Deer and his two dear grandchildren Arwen and AJ Traeger of Waukesha. He is further survived by his father-in-law Lamar Kuhlman along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Sharon Kozloski.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 27 from 4:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. vigil service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Visitation continues on Friday, September 28 from 10:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha. Reverend Howard Haase will preside. Graveside services will be held privately for the family at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tom’s name are appreciated to Waukesha Catholic School System, 221 S.
