Tomas Hernandez

Tomas Gonzalez Hernandez, of Waukesha, died on Monday, June 30, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 70. He was born in Crystal City, Texas on December 21, 1943 the son of Felipe and Francisca (nee Gonzalez) Hernandez. Tomas worked as a core finisher at General Castings for 26 years. He was a jack of all trades and was a handyman at St. Vincent de Paul, the YWCA and throughout the community. He will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.

He will be sadly missed by his children, Albertico (Guadalupe) Hernandez of Crystal City, TX, Freddy (Christine) Hernandez of Waukesha, Maria (Reinaldo) Martinez of Oklahoma City, OK, Tommy Jr. (Sue) Hernandez of Sussex, Zulie Hernandez of Dallas, TX and Rey Hernandez of Waukesha and the mother of his children Rebecca Martinez. He was the dear grandfather of Austin and Briana Hernandez of Waukesha, Mercedez and Ryan Hernandez of Sussex, Becca Martinez and Ty Krueger of Dallas, TX, Brandon Hernandez of Waukesha, Sophia Isabel, Yliana, Albertico Jr., Noelia and Analisa Hernandez of Crystal City, TX, Mario Jimenez of West Allis, Tirso Rosado of Waukesha, Jonathon Fuentes of West Allis, Dario Gamino of Oklahoma City, OK, Margarita and Tomas Gamino of West Allis and Desi and Hilario Martinez of Oklahoma City, OK, and his great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Goebel, Tristan Willingham, Anthony Jimenez, Benjamin Jimenez, David Jimenez, Daniel Jimenez, Jaustin Rosado and Ana Ingold. He is further survived by his sisters, Sulema Diaz of Kenosha, Victoria (Jose) Medina of Waukesha, Franscisca (Ignacio) Aquirre of Hammond, IN, Teresa (Gregorio) Sandoval of Milwaukee and Rosa Aguilar of Milwaukee along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Rogelio Hernandez, Guadalupe Hernandez, Juan Hernandez and Maria Martinez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 4:00PM until the time of the 8:00PM rosary service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Services continue on Thursday July 3, 2014 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM followed by the procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Avenue, for the funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.
