Tim Atwood passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born in Hammond, Indiana on December 15, 1943, to parents Lawrence and Victoria (nee Kocal) Atwood. In retirement, he kept busy managing “Ken’s Drivers,” driving cars for local dealerships. He will be greatly missed.
Tim is survived by his loving family, his wife of 20 years, Pam (nee Cameron) of Waukesha; children, Todd (Laura) Atwood of Anchorage, AK, Amy Atwood of Waukesha, Jennifer Baker of Oconomowoc, Erin Weber of Oconomowoc, Kelly (Rusty) Konitzer of Mukwonago, Kristy Peterson of Farmington Hills, MI, brother-in-law Bruce (June) Cameron and son-in-law Tony Baker. Also his grandchildren, Tiffany Baker, Haylea Atwood, Jessika Atwood, Courtney Hoster, Morgan (Evan) Blanchard, Nicholas Baker, Bryce Konitzer, Lauren Hoster, Ashley Hoster, Brianna Konitzer, Ryan Baker, Jenna Konitzer, Kylie Weber, Ben Weber and Nathan Kutz; other family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Joan Atwood (nee Johnson).
He will always be remembered for his deep love for his family, life and all its adventures. His giant bear hugs were like no other, always bringing his family the most comfort.
His elaborate and outrageous life stories will forever live on and be told by his grandchildren for generations to come, with tales of him hitchhiking through North America, ending up on the set of Thunderball and even teaching people to fly.
Tim left a significant footprint on this world, touching the lives of every person he met. “Do not talk to strangers” did not apply to Tim. He could and did make a friend out of anyone.
Tim taught us all to live life in the moment and always have a good time doing it. He always said to his family, “I don’t think anyone lived a more fun life than me!”
