Valerie J. Sullivan (nee Majeskie), of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 7, 2014 following a long and courageous battle with breast cancer at the age of 49. She was born in Waukesha on July 21, 1965 the daughter of George and Shirley (nee Majinski) Majeskie. Valerie was a 1983 graduate of Waukesha South High School. She was a hard worker and dedicated to her job at Total Mechanical in Pewaukee where she worked for many years. Valerie was a quiet and gentle woman, who had a big heart and beautiful soul. She will always be remembered as a loving and loyal daughter, sister and friend.
She will be sadly missed her mother Shirley (Earl) Kerschke of Waukesha, her sisters Sandra Majeskie of Waukesha, Diane (Roman) Nowak of Muskego and Sharon Rodd of Bonita Springs, FL and her brother Michael (Meri) Majeskie of North Prairie. She is further survived by her step-mother Shirley Majeskie of Waukesha, her step-brothers, Steve (Becky) Wittmann of Pewaukee, Todd (Pam) Wittmann of Menasha and Tony (Susan) Wittmann of Hilbert along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father George Majeskie.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Karen Carlson for the compassion and care she provided to Valerie, to Rick Standarski for his love and support and to Total Mechanical for their generosity, kindness and understanding.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 12:00 noon until the time of the 1:30PM memorial service at Fox River Christian Church, S46 W24130 Lawnsdale Rd. (Corner of Hwy 164 & Hwy I), Waukesha, WI 53189. A reception and continued fellowship will follow the service. A private family interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery on Friday.
