Valeta “V” R. Kuenzi passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 86. She was born in Junction City, Kansas on June 4, 1932 the daughter of Lawrence and Ruth (nee Baumgartner) Brown. She was a 1956 graduate of Kansas State University. Following graduation, she proudly served her country in the United States Air Force from 1956 until 1959 as a therapeutic dietician. On January 18, 1958 she married her beloved husband John Kuenzi, DVM in San Antonio, TX. V was an elder and taught Sunday School at Southminster Presbyterian Church for many years and was more recently a member of Elmbrook Church. She enjoyed being active in 4-H and served as a project leader for 24 years. Her greatest accomplishment and joy in life was raising her 6 children. V will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 60 years, Dr. John Kuenzi of Waukesha, and their children, Dr. Rodney (Dr. Lana) Kuenzi of Waukesha, Elizabeth (Curtis) Spotted Elk of Delavan, Sandi (John) Forster of Seattle, WA and daughter-in-law Gloria Kuenzi of Waukesha. She was the proud grandmother of Alex Kuenzi, Erin Ann Kuenzi, Candice Spotted Elk, Tori Forster, Jodi Forster, Virginia Kuenzi, Peter Kuenzi, Noah Kuenzi, Anthony Kuenzi and Mary Kuenzi and one great-grandchild. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter Elena Kuenzi on March 14, 2000, sons, Gerald Kuenzi on April 17, 2002 and Calvin “Cal” on January 7, 2010, her brother Delmar Brown and sister Ruby Alice McCoy.
Visitation will be Thursday June 13, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 AM at Randle Dable Brisk Funeral Home 1110 S Grand Avenue
Waukesha, WI 53186. Interment and graveside services will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to Elena’s House or Elmbrook Church.
