Verlyn N. Jinkins, of Waukesha, died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. He was born on October 9, 1926 in the Town of Mifflin, WI to Arnold and Mabel (nee Williams) Jinkins. Verlyn proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. For 31 years he had worked as an accountant for Jack Griffin Ford. On April 21, 1956 he married the former Helen Garvey at Rewey Methodist Church in Rewey, WI. He was a longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church. He will be sadly missed by his wife Helen, of Waukesha, along with their children Debra (Michael) Wolf of Wales, Brenda (Daniel) Holmes of New Berlin, Barry (Laurie) Jinkins of Eagle and Jeffry Jinkins of Waukesha; grandchildren Scott (Julia) Holmes, Ross Jinkins, Kyle Jinkins and Nicole Jinkins, great-grandchildren Caden and Scarlet Holmes. He is further survived by his brother-in-law Kenneth Garvey, sister-in-law Donna Garvey, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Leo Jinkins and brother-in-law Charles Garvey. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 20 from 3:00 pm until the 6:00 pm Funeral Service at Salem United Methodist Church, 541 Hwy 59, Waukesha 53186. Graveside services will take place on Monday February 21 at 1:00 pm at Mifflin Cemetery in Mifflin, WI. Please meet at the cemetery.
