Verna “Dolly” M. Wise, of Waukesha, died on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Waukesha Springs at the age of 87. She was born in Baraboo, WI on June 28, 1922 to Charles and Saddie (nee Paige) Sanders. On July 8, 1944 she married John F. Wise in San Diego, CA., he preceded her in death on March 30, 2006. She loved knitting and made a collection of sweaters, blankets, comforters and dishcloths and had a large teapot collection. Dolly loved to wear hats for all occasions. She will be sadly missed by her children, John (Sandra Lee) Wise of Madison and William (Deana) Wise of Oconomowoc and her son-in-law Peter Bach of the town of Genesee. She was the dear grandmother of eight grandchildren and fond great-grandmother of 10 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters Myrtle “Mert” Christensen of Waukesha and Evelyn “Ev” Martin of Waukesha, sister-in-law Virginia “Ginny” Miller of Byfield, MA, along with nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband John F. she was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Katherin Wise Bach on July 16, 2000 and brothers Melvin and Earl Sanders. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 10:00AM until the 11:30AM funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI. Fr. Howard Haase will preside.
