Virginia R. Foss

Virginia R. Foss, of Waukesha, died on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Sky Residential Brookside at the age of 88. She was born in Stevens Point on June 6, 1927 the daughter of John and Mabel (nee Kater) Steward. Virginia retired from the Waukesha Police Department where she worked as a clerk for many years. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Virginia was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed reading but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She will be sadly missed by her children, John (Pam) Foss of Waukesha, Carey Foss of Waukesha, David (Anita) Foss of Florida, Joan (John) Schreurs of Waukesha and Mary Emery of Pewaukee. She was the dear grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1981, her sister Ellen Bach and brothers, Bill, Louie, Jack, Lawrence and Enie.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 12:00 noon Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Avenue, Waukesha. Father Javier Bustos will preside. Interment will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials in Virginia’s name are appreciated to the family.
