Walter Mylan Jones of Tucson, Ariz., and formerly of Waukesha, passed away peacefully in his home Friday, June 26, 2015, at the age of 90. Walter was a member of Rincon Congregational UCC and an active resident at Far Horizons Mobile Home Estates on Grant Road.
A graduate of Waukesha High School, he attended Carroll College in Waukesha and was a WWII Army veteran serving in Hawaii and Japan. Walter, known to many as Mylan, was very much a sports enthusiast. He played baseball and later slow-pitch softball for many years in his adult life. He was an avid golfer and a life long Green Bay Packers fan. Having season tickets for many years to University of Arizona Women’s Softball, there were very few games he missed.
He is survived by his only child, Polly (Randy) Lussier, and his only grandchild, Aubrie (Lance) Carter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nan (nee Williams) Jones; sister, Arlene (Phil) Stinemates; and brother, Robert (Evelyn) Jones.
Walter was very well-liked and will truly be missed by all.

Walter’s final resting place will be the Jones family plot in Ottawa Cemetery, Dousman. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 12.
