Warren “Buddy” Cook of Waukesha passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc at the age of 70. He was born in Waukesha on November 29, 1946 the son of Warren Alvin and Margorie Betty Jane (nee Fritz) Cook. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1969 until 1975. Buddy lived in Hawaii for over 30 years first working as a chef at the Hyatt and then at the Civil Service as an environmental specialist. He was a very generous person, supporting veterans, children, and animals.
He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, Joyce (Gary) Kammerzelt of Waukesha, Shaun (Bill) Tofson of Wisconsin Dells, Jerry (Jennifer) Cook of Appleton and ReAnn (Scott) Holmes of Watertown and his nieces and nephews, Jon Ryan (Jacque) Kammerzelt, Mike (Karen) Kammerzelt, Cindy (Joe) Ciszewski, Brennen Tofson, Paige Tofson, Hunter Cook, Aubrey Cook, Kayla Holmes, Logan Holmes, and Matt Moots. He is further survived by other relatives, friends and his beloved dog Charlie. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Beverly Hayden and brother Eric Smith.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the memorial service begins at 11:30 AM at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Graveside services with full military honors will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
