Wayne A. Fillinger Sr.

Wayne A. Fillinger Sr. of Waukesha died unexpectedly on Friday, November 16, 2018 at his home at the age of 78. He was born in Milwaukee on January 11, 1940 the son of Max and Theresa (nee Schmitt) Fillinger. On September 20, 1969 he married Marie Huber and together they have been members of St. Mary Catholic Church for 48 years. Wayne worked for many years at A.O. Smith/Tower Automotive and was active in the IAMAW #1668 and Lodge 78. He enjoyed traveling, going to his cabin, trains, gardening, fishing, western and war movies and loved going out to eat. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 49 years, Marie and their children Wayne (Renae) Fillinger Jr., Warren Fillinger, Marcus Fillinger and Melissa Fillinger (fiancé Keith VanderPutten), his sister, Maxine (Donald) Mattke, step-granddaughter Samantha Olson and step-great-grandchildren, Willow and Liam. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until time of the 7:00 p.m. vigil service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Visitation continues Wednesday, November 21st at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha from 9:30 a.m. until time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass. Father Howard Haase will preside. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at New Berlin Center Cemetery (Lawnsdale Rd & National Ave.). Please meet at the cemetery. Memorials to the family are appreciated.
