Wayne Fraker, of Waukesha, died on Friday, July 1, 2011 at his home at the age of 78. He was born in Iron Mountain, MI on January 2, 1933 the son of Leon and Olive (nee Julian) Fraker. Wayne was united in marriage to Beverly Ann Fraker on May 16, 1953 at Kingsley Methodist Church in Milwaukee; she preceded him in death on February 1, 2011. Wayne was one of the first EMT’s in the state of Wisconsin and was a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Brookfield for 18 years working his way up the ranks to Assistant Fire Chief. He worked for Motor Transport Company until he opened his own business, Security Aluminum on July 1, 1972. Wayne was an amateur radio operator who assisted military families allowing for them to stay connected with their loved ones. From 1983 to 1993 he was a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club serving as President in 1990. Wayne was a member of the Waukesha Crime Stoppers where the Waukesha County Chamber of Commerce appointed him as the first Chairman of the organization. Wayne was also a member of Merrill Hills Country Club, the Iron Mountain Mountaineers Motorcycle Club and was of the Bahai Faith. Wayne was a huge Packer Fan and also enjoyed the Brewers, hunting, fishing, and playing cards being known as one of the best gin players. Wayne will be sadly missed by his children: Linda (Jesse) Davis of Cary, IL, Marla (Gerold) Gygax of the Town of Genesee, Mark (Cindy) Fraker of Pardeeville, Randy Fraker of Waukesha, Brenda Ribicki of Pekin, IL, Craig (Karen) Fraker, Pamela (Douglas) Yandry, and Chad (Sara) Fraker of Waukesha; 23 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister Darlene (Tony) Burgarino along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife Beverly, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Leon “Teenie”, Vivian, Margie, Betty, Shirley, Daniel, Douglas and Walton. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 10:00AM until the 12:30PM funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha, WI.
