William “Bill” A. Ebli, “aka Grandpa & Dad”, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 73. He was born in Loretto, Michigan on March 6, 1941 the son of August and Elizabeth (nee Schafer) Ebli. He attended school in Michigan and graduated from West Division High School in Milwaukee. On January 9, 1960 he married the former Geraldine “Geri” Burbey in Milwaukee. Bill worked for Allis Chalmers for 44 years and then became part owner in AC Equipment. He enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed entertaining and spending time with his family. Bill will always be remembered for his selfless nature, his big heart and as a loving and devoted husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Geri of Waukesha and their children, Lisa (Greg) Walden of Mukwonago, Kim (Tony) Olivas of Waukesha, Lynne (Joe) Marquardt of Waukesha and Dave Ebli of Loretto, Michigan. He was the proud grandpa of Matt and Phil Walden, Joey (Sarah) Marquardt, Billy Marquardt, Jake (Melissa) Vogel, Katlyn (Brandon) Preiss and Danielle and Kira Ebli and great-grandpa of Iziah, Lailah, Aiden, William, Lily and Jackson. He is further survived by his brother Jack (Carol) Ebli of Mukwonago, his sister June (Larry) Tribelhorn of Moro, Oregon, his dog Angel, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 from 4:00PM until the time of the 7:00PM memorial service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A private family burial will be held at Norway Cemetery in Michigan in the summer of 2015.
