William Arthur Hingiss, age 90, passed away January 21, 2008 at his home in Lake Worth, Florida. He was born on November 11, 1917 and was raised in Owen, Wisconsin. On September 13, 1941 he married the former Ruth Madeline Johnson, of Owen, his wife of 66 years. In 1951 they moved to Waukesha where he worked as a cement contractor until his retirement. William enjoyed dancing to polkas and waltzes, hunting, the outdoors, flowers and his home on Pretty Lake.
William is survived by his loving wife Ruth, children: Janice (Gordy) Milbrath, William Richard, John, Barry (Debbie), Scott, Kurt, Mark, and Peggy (Randy) Hill. Grandchildren: Susan (Pat) Dowd, Jennifer (Tom) Gahbeck, Jennelle (Brad) DeNoyer, Troy (Shannon) Milbrath, Carrie (Steve) Helwig, Lisa (Mark) Primasing, Joshua (Amy) Hingiss, Chad (Tianna) Hingiss, Bobbi Lee (John) Bachik and Cale Hingiss. He is further survived by 20 great-grandchildren, his sister-in-law Adel Horn, other nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his many friends in Wisconsin and Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Visitation and Services will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Prairie Home Cemetery Chapel, 605 S. Prairie Ave., Waukesha, Wisconsin, concluding with entombment at noon.
